I had been with SPACENET, a satellite communications company, from 1989 to 2008. I started as a temp in their warehouse doing all the receiving for them. In 1995, I was hired as a full time employee.

In 1997, I transfered to Spacenet's Network Management Center in Mclean, VA. as

an Associate Network Controller.

By 2000, I was selected and had advanced to the position of Senior Netwok Controller

on the STARBAND PROJECT. My job was to help Spacenet's sister company STARBAND

get started. Starband is a satellite internet service for the home. This work involved helping

customers configure their PCs to use the home system.

A project perk was that company employees were given a PC and satellite sysem so that we

were knowledgeable with the home system, and could troubleshoot any problems with first-hand

experience.

During that time I started to really learn about PCs and routine maintenance. I began downloading software programs to try to make my PC go faster. Some downloads worked very well and some did not work at all.

I became known on the job by my co-workers as 'The Tweak Master.' However, this is a name I never used because there is a company that uses that name. Many of my fellow employees and friends started asking me how to get the most from their PCs, both at both home and at work.

I have tried hundreds of programs designed to tweak and maintain systems. Now with the knowledge from the best of these programs, I can successfully bring any PC performance.

Since 2009 I've been working for Shentel, a phone, internet and cable company in the Shenandoah Valley, helping customers with their phone, internet and cable issues.

I have found that all PC's need routine maintenance. Most people don't know or don't have the time or skill to do the routine maintenance themselves. A lot of people are afraid to work on their own PC's because they fear "Missing" things That's were Monitech comes in.
